CHUTE DEFLECTOR ASSEMBLY
1.
As
an
added
safety
precaution,
remove
the
spark
piug wire as shown in figure 2.
2.
You
will
need
a
7/16”
wrench
or
an
adjustable
wrench to install the chute deflector.
3.
Place the chute deflector assembly in position on the
deck.
4. Start on one nut, by hand.
5.
Lift the chute up and hold in place with the starter
rope. See figure 2.

6. Tighten two hex lock nuts securely. See figure 3.

Unhook starter rope from deflector, so that the tor
sion
spring
brings
the
deflector
back
into
correct
operating position.
