Baby Hippy (375-35001) is a lifelike model of the lower
torso and limbs of a female newborn. It is specifically
designed for training professionals in the practice of the
Ortolani Jerk-Sign and the Barlow Maneuver.
The manufacturing quality of this trainer should provide
many sessions of training when reasonable care and
maintenance is practiced.

Instructions for Use:
1. Left hip is dislocated. Ortolani Jerk-Sign will reduce the
femoral head into the hip socket.
2. The right hip is “lax.” Can be dislocated ONLY by
performing the Barlow Maneuver.
WARNING: Baby Hippy is not designed to test full
abduction of the hip in flexion. Attempts to fully abduct
the hip will cause tearing of the simulator’s skin. Such
tearing from misuse will void the warranty.
