Preparing the Manikin for Use:
Cricothyroid Membrane Translucent Tape:
1. Expose neck to visualize opening that has been molded
in place of cricothyroid membrane.
2. Cut a two (2) inch strip of the Cricothyroid Membrane
Translucent Tape and apply it over the opening to
simulate the actual membrane. NOTE: A tight seal will
enhance the actual feel and sound of penetrating the
cricothyroid membrane (See Fig. 1).
Neck Skin Collar:
1. Lay a Neck Skin Collar into the molded track around
neck area of trainer.
2. Attach the collar using the Velcro® strips. NOTE:
Collar is designed to provide multiple sites for needle
and surgical techniques. When a fresh site is needed,
rotate collar in either direction.

Instructions for Use:
Airway Management:
1. For best results, spray the inside of the pharynx, both
nostrils, and all intubation tubes with a liberal amount of
the provided lubricant. (Liquid soap may also be used.)
2. We recommend 7.5 I.D. to extend the life of the
trainer.
NOTE: Should incorrect ventilation be performed, air
will pass through the esophagus, causing distention of
the abdomen.
3. Use straight or curved laryngoscope blades #3 or #4.
