44. Remove the matting that rests on the
vertical walls of the fender-wells and the excess
matting in a 2” strip running the length of the
fender-well.
45. Sand the plastic panels that come in
contact with the fender-well as necessary,
remove the staples and re-install the carpet.
There are some sections that you will need to
trim in order to fit the new tub kit.
NOTE: If your vehicle comes equipped with a
storage compartment you will need to trim the
carpet as necessary to fit.
46. Check all brake lines and wiring for
clearance, tie back as necessary.
2001-2004 ZO6 Corvette. Brake Vent Block Offs: Not included in kit
Remove all rear brake cooler ductwork; they cannot be used due to tire clearance. Remove the vent
section that is bolted to the body. Paint the block-off plates black on the side that will be exposed.
Start the block-off plate into the duct-section from the backside. It will appear to be too large. Use a
large screwdriver to force it all of the way down against the mesh. You will need to work it in slowly to
prevent deformation. After the plate is seated run a bead of black silicone around the backside. This
block-off plate is necessary to prevent air from applying pressure and deforming the plastic fender
liner, which can cause tire to tub interference.
