The inner tent of Losi™ is specially designed to have nearly vertical
walls. This provides a maximum usable interior space. Four adults can
comfortably sit inside Losi™.

FEATURES
Your Losi™ stuff sack also works very well as a hanging drying bag. The
dark color of the stuff sack will absorb heat from the sun and the mesh
allows the moisture to escape. Hang your stuff sack from a branch,
trekking poles, skis, or lay it out on a rock while you pack up the rest of
your camp.

Thirteen square feet of vestibule space on both sides of the tent
provide ample room for storage, sorting out your gear, or preparing a
meal. Two separate vestibules provide two dry entries and a way to
keep gear separate. WARNING: do not cook in or near your tent. This can
lead to burns or suffocation.

The best way to fix a broken pole is with the repair sleeve that came with
your tent. If the pole is cracked or broken cleanly, the repair sleeve should
slide in place over the damaged area. If the pole is bent or has a burr around
the break, it may be necessary to cut or file the damaged area. A temporary
fix may be possible by taping another pole or extra tent stake alongside the
damaged area. Contact NEMO to order replacement poles.
“A tree fell on my tent and one of the poles was broken!”
Always pack and store your tent dry! Mildew is not only smelly and bad for
the tent materials, it is also unhealthy. Contact Rainy Pass Repair (see below)
for advice about safely removing mildew.

WARNINGS
The unique catenary side cut on the Losi™ fly reduces weight and
increases airflow through the tent. This reduces condensation and
provides a more comfortable nights sleep.

Losi’s™ footprint accessory is a good way to reduce wear and increase
the life span of your tent. The fooprint also allows you to camp “On the
Fly”. Using only the fly, poles and footprint you can set up shelter quickly
and leave a couple of pounds at home.
6
If you purchased Losi’s™ removable, washable interior floor lining, the
Pawprint™, you can insert it with the snaps at the corners. Now you can
share your tent with your dog or bring your muddy shoes inside and
wash the floor when you get home. The Pawprint™ has sleeves to
secure your sleeping pads and pillow pockets to stuff for an extra soft
place to lay your head.
5
Enjoy the sunshine or starry nights through the mesh canopy of your
inner tent. If rain comes, the fly can be installed very quickly using the
clips on the Jake’s Foot corner anchors.

With the high sil-nylon walls on the Losi™ inner tent, there is plenty of
privacy and protection.

Damaging tents while shoveling them out on big mountains is a common
problem. Take care when using any sharp tools near your tent! Remember
that your tent is your home in the mountains and it’s made of lightweight
fabric. Small tears in the fly can be reinforced with the included Tear-Aid
patch on the inside of the fabric. The Tear-Aid will only stick well to the
shiney side of the fly. Larger areas can be hand-stitched and sealed with
Seamgrip®, or you can send your tent to Rainy Pass for repair. (See
information below).
“I sliced my tent while digging it out during a storm!”

Losi™ uses several pieces of unique hardware to make the tent strong
and properly tensioned.
The Jake’s Foot pole anchors lock the pole tips in place for easy
setup and a strong foundation. They also act as cantilevers to pull
the corner of the inner tent down as the tension in the rain fly is
increased. This improves the tent appearance and maximizes
interior space. Every Losi™ comes with a spare Jake’s Foot.
The swivel clips and center swivel lock the poles together at their
intersections, making the tent much stronger.
The unique shape of the clear pole clips makes them easy to use
and more durable than standard pole clips.
7
“I’ve broken my corner anchor!”
The Jake’s Foot corner anchors are made to be rugged enough for any
adventure. However they are plastic parts and can be broken under extreme
stress. The Jake’s Foot is also made to be removeable to convert Losi™ to an
“On the Fly” shelter when connected to its footprint. Your tent came with an
extra Jake’s Foot in case one is ever lost or broken. To assemble the anchor,
first pull the triglide along the webbing so it rests against the tent. Loop the
webbing up and around the widest bar at the end of a Jake’s Foot. Run the tail
of the webbing back through the triglide.
