While the Qsonix system is designed to work independently with your home sound or home theatre system, configuring
Network Places will allow you to use the following Qsonix features:

Share your Qsonix Media Library with other devices such as PC’s, game consoles or other streaming devices.

Import music files WMA, WMA Lossless, FLAC, M4A, AAC, MP3, AIFF, Apple Lossless from your PC or other external
storage device

Customized photo slide show screensavers

Edit Album Art feature

The first time you access Network Places from the
Network tab, you are presented with the following
screen. Note that there are no Network Places named
or defined.

To add a Network Place:

1.

Select Add New from the Network > Network

Places screen.

2.

In the first field, give your new Network

Place a “user friendly name” such as “Bill’s
Laptop” or “ScreenSaver Photos”

3.

Enter a Network Path to the network location

or fileshare you would like to setup. This
must be the exact location of the files to be
shared or added. The network path begins
with a double backward slash (\\). Be sure
to type in the address exactly.

For Example:

\\machinename\sharename

.

\\ipaddress\sharename

\\192.168.0.100\music

\\Myserver\albumcovers

\\Mypc\photos
