Disk Channel Errors

NOTE:

Most disk channel errors are informational, since the controller will retry to correct

any problem.

Disk channel errors occur while talking to back-end devices that are detected by the controller

rather than the disk drive. An example is a parity error on data received from a disk drive.

Some disk channel errors are displayed as text strings, others are displayed as hexadecimal

codes. Figure C-3 shows a typical disk channel error and accompanying hexadecimal code.

Refer to Table C-5 for Error Codes and their descriptions.

Voltage and Temperature Errors and Warnings

Most voltage and temperature errors occur due to the enclosure. Check the InfoStation first

when experiencing these types of problems.
