2.9 Faulty device replacement
The device provides two plug-and-play solutions for replacing a faulty device
with a device of the same type (faulty device replacement):

Configuring the new device via an AutoConfiguration Adapter
(see on
page
39 „Loading the system configuration from the ACA“)
or
X
Configuration via DHCP Option 82
(see on page
186 „Setting up DHCP
Server Option 82“)
.
In both cases, when the new device is started, it is given the same configu-
ration data that the faulty device had.
Note: If you replace a device with DIP switches, please ensure that the DIP
switch settings are identical.
