The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates

IMPORTANT

This appliance complies with safety requirements for electrical
equipment.
This hairdryer is fitted with a safety thermostat. It will stop
automatically if it overheats. After a short time it will start
up again.
Before use, make sure that the appliance air inlet grills are
perfectly clean.
The manufacturer will not be considered liable for any damage
to persons or property deriving from failure to comply with the
above recommendations, or improper use of the hairdryer.
This appliance conforms to European Directives
2004/108/EC, 2009/125/EC, 2006/95/EC and Regulation (EC)
No. 1275/2008.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

To turn the unit on, place the mains switch to position “I”.
Fig. 6 (Only for models 830.01/RTL, 830.02/RTL, 830.03/RTL).
To start the hairdryer, remove the handpiece from its housing.
Models 830.01/R, 830.02/R, 830.03/R are fitted with
110 -120V and 220-240V, 50/60 Hz~ shaver sockets.
These sockets, which can be accessed by lifting a special
protection flap (fig. 5), must only be used to run or recharge
electric shavers (max 20VA).
IMPORTANT: never connect other appliances such as electric
coffee machines, heaters, etc. to these sockets. Models
830.01/T, 830.02/T and 830.03/T are fitted with an electric
timer which turns the appliance off automatically after a pre-set
time (8 min.). To turn it back on again, simply replace the
handpiece in its housing and then remove it again.
When not in use, the mains switch on the wall holder should be
in the “0” position. (only for the models equipped with mains
switch).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Plastic components must be cleaned using a cloth damped in
warm water.
WARNING: do not use abrasive products or chemical
detergents.
A slight yellowing of the flexible hose after a few months of use
is normal and will not impair operation of the appliance.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION

WARNING: this operation must be carried out by a qualified
technician.
Check that the local power supply corresponds with the one
indicated on the rating plate.
The power supply network to which the appliance is connected
must be fitted with a omnipolarebeli switch.
The appliance is destined for assembly and installation on a
wall only (vertical). The correct direction of installation is
with theextending pipe outlet at the bottom.

This hairdryer is an approved product with protection degree
IP24 (EN60529). For installation specifications, please refer
to national regulations on the use and installation of
appliances with IP24 protection from splashing. If the power
cable with plug fitted to the appliance is used, the power
socket to which it is connected must be out of reach of
possible water splashes.

Mounting sequence

1. Insert the power plug into the power socket only when the

installation is completed.

2. After establishing the position in which the appliance is to be

installed, drill 3 holes Ø 6 mm in the wall as shown in fig. 1.

3. Dismantle the “T” bracket from the back of the appliance, as

shown in figure 2.

4. Fix the “T” bracket to the wall using the screws and plugs

provided (fig. 3).

5. Hang the appliance on the “T” bracket and fix it at the bottom

using the screw provided (fig. 4).

GUARANTEE

VALERA guarantees the appliance you have bought at following
conditions:
1. The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined by

our dealer in the country of sale. In Switzerland and in the
countries subject to the European directive 44/99/CE the
guarantee period is 24 months for domestic use and 12
months for professional or similar use. The guarantee period
starts from the date of purchase as stated on the present
guarantee card regularly filled out and stamped by the dealer
or on the sale’s invoice.

2. The guarantee is applicable only against submission of the

present guarantee card or the sale’s invoice.

3. The guarantee covers the elimination of all defects arisen

during the guarantee period resulting from proven faults in
material or workmanship. The elimination of the defects will
be made either by repairing the appliance or exchanging it.
The guarantee does not cover any damage arising from
incorrect connection to the power supply, improper use,
breakage, normal wear and non-compliance with the
Instructions for Use.

4. All other claims of any nature, including those for eventual

damages outside of the appliance, are excluded, unless our
liability is legally mandatory.

5. The guarantee service is carried out free of charge; it does

not affect the expiry date of the guarantee.

6. The guarantee becomes void if repairs are under-taken by

unauthorized persons.

For UK only: this guarantee in no way affects your rights under
statutory law.
In case of defect, please return the appliance well packed and
together with the guarantee card regularly dated and stamped
to one of our Valera Service Centres or to the dealer who will
send it to the official importer for the guarantee service.
