Activating/deactivating the alarm clock

Press the ALARM button in standby mode. The alarm symbol

appears in the display (2). Pressing the

ALARM button again deactivates the alarm clock. An accelerating acoustic signal sounds at the set alarm
time. Press the SNZ button to activate the snooze function; in this case, the alarm sounds again after 5 min-

In standby mode, press the button to select between °C and °F.

Confi guring the weather station

Start by setting the current weather situation. Press and hold the button until an acoustic signal sounds.
Now use the button to select the weather situation 12 hours previously. Confi rm using the button. The
station displays the next change of weather in the next 12 hours.
The scale uses a range of diff erent weather symbols to provide weather information in as much detail as pos-
sible. Depending on the weather forecast, the scale displays a sequence of fl ashing weather symbols:

1.

2.

3.

4.

Sunny

Partly Cloudy

Cloudy

Rainy

Torrential Rain

Snowy

The weather forecast is based on changes in atmospheric pressure. Pressure values are compared on

an hourly basis. If the atmospheric pressure rises, an area of high pressure can be expected. The indi-
cated forecast changes towards the “sunny” end of the weather scale. The opposite applies in the case
of declining atmospheric pressure.

6. Changing the batteries

The scale is equipped with a low battery indicator. If the batteries become too weak, “

Lo

” appears in the dis-

play (1) and the scale switches off automatically. In this case, the batteries must be replaced as soon as pos-
sible (4 x 1.5 V, type AA).
The batteries in the outdoor sensor must be replaced when the scale no longer receives a radio signal (2 x 1.5 V,
type AAA). Press and hold the CHANNEL button for 3 seconds to search for the outdoor sensor. Ensure that
channel 1 (CH1) is set on the scale.

7. Measuring your weight

Place the scale on an even, hard surface (no carpet); a hard surface is crucial to accurate measurements.
Tap the scale with your foot; “

[al

” briefl y appears in the display, followed by “

0.0

kg”. Step onto the scale.

Stand still with your weight distributed equally on both feet. The measurement is displayed shortly afterwards.
