Handle and Spout Installation
(Refer to illustration 2)
7. Remove the rough-in protection covers from the rough-in assembly.
8. Place both escutcheon rings over the cartridge housings until they press up against the wall.
9. Screw both control handles onto the designated connections on the rough-in assembly until tight.
10. Place the spout escutcheon ring over the spout connection of the rough-in assembly so that it presses up against the wall.
The spout will keep this piece in place.
11. Wrap the threaded end of the spout with Teflon tape and the screw the spout into place onto the rough-in, so that goes
through the escutcheon ring and secure by hand into rough-in.
12. If desired, a bead of caulk or silicone may be applied where the escutcheon contacts the wall.
13. Hand tightening the handle assembly is adequate; if this assembly is too tight, the handle will bind.
14. Attach the escutcheon ring onto the wall around the hole for the spout connection.
15. Then screw the spout onto the spout connection of the rough-in assembly until tight.
16. Place an o-ring onto the back of each of the control handles so that the ring o-ring sits between the handle and the wall.
17. Place the control handles onto the cartridge extensions so that the levers are horizontal and then tighten the set screw to keep
it in place.
Inspect the Installation
18. Remove the flow restrictor assembly from the spout using the tool provided. Carefully open the hot and cold valves to flush out
any debris in the supply lines.
19. Inspect all connections for leaks. Reinstall the flow restrictor assembly.
