Please read all of the following instructions before attempting to use the CVS16-UK
microphone system.

Pre-test

1. Verify the ON-OFF switch on both the transmitter & receiver is in the

off position.

2. Install rechargeable ‘AA’ batteries (included) in both the transmitter

& receiver.

3. Move frequency selection switch on both receiver and transmitter to “1”.

4. Turn ON-OFF switch on both receiver and transmitter to ON. The “TX” light

on the transmitter and the “RX” light on the receiver will stay on if batteries
are adequately charged.

5. If lights do not stay on, set up the CVS16U recharging station (CS-808-2)

and place the transmitter and receiver into the slots for a few hours.

6. IF desired, use “AA” alkaline batteries while waiting on the rechargeable

batteries to recharge.

Sound Test

Plug the lapel microphone into the transmitter “MIC” jack. Turn volume control knob
all the way down. Clip lapel microphone vertically on your shirt placket within 8 inches
of your throat. The foam ball must point straight up toward your throat.

Plug the stereo cable (included) into the “AUX” output jack for powered multi-media
speakers or the mono cable (included) into the “EAR” jack on the receiver for “MIC”
inputs or other devices. If you are not sure which to use, the “AUX” output jack and
the “EAR” jack will work with all Cetacea sound systems. The main difference is
whether or not you have a mono source, like a microphone, or a stereo source like a
personal computer or iPOD that you want to hear.

DO NOT PLUG POWER CORD INTO SPEAKER YET.
