Setting up your TV

Installing remote control batteries

To install remote control batteries:

1 Open the battery compartment.

2 Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Make

sure that the + and – symbols on the batteries match the + and
– symbols in the battery compartment.

3 Close the battery compartment.

Notes:
Make sure that you match the + and – symbols on the batteries with the

symbols in the battery compartment.

Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries.
If you do not intend to use the remote control for a extended period of

time, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

Do not try to recharge batteries non-rechargable batteries. They may

overheat and rupture.

Using the remote control

To use the remote control:

• Point the remote control directly at your TV, within a 60° angle

horizontally (30° to either side) and within 30° vertically of the
remote control sensor on the front of your TV, and within 15 feet
of your TV.

Caution

Do not expose the remote control to liquids, direct sunlight, or shock.

Notes

Objects between the remote control and the remote control sensor may
block the remote control signal.

SLOW

Press to slow reverse playback of a
DVD.

RETURN

Press to exit the DVD setup menus.

AUDIO

Press to cycle through the languages
available on a DVD.

ZOOM

Press to zoom in the picture.

MARKER

Press to open a marker dialog box,
which lets you mark three scenes on
a DVD to access directly.

TITLE

In DVD mode, press to open the top
menu.

MENU

In DVD mode, press to open the DVD
setup menu.

DVD

Press to change to DVD mode.

INPUT

Press to open the Input Source Select
menu.

EJECT

Press to eject the disc from the DVD
player.

SLEEP

Press to set the sleep timer.

ZOOM

Press to open the Picture Size menu
where you can choose the size of the
picture.

Press to access TV digital
sub-channels.

DISPLAY

For TV or DVD, press to display
information about the TV program or
the DVD playing.

RECALL

In TV mode, press to switch between
the current and last channel viewed.

PLAY

Press to begin playback of a DVD or
CD.

SEARCH

Press to fast forward DVD or CD
playback.

STOP

In DVD mode, press to stop playback.

SKIP

Press to skip forward a chapter (DVD)
or track (CD).

REPEAT

Press to select the playback mode.

SLOW

Press to slow the playback of a DVD.

A-B

Press to repeat a specific portion of a
DVD or CD. Press once to set the
beginning point, then press again to
set the end point.

ANGLE

Press to view a DVD from an alternate
angle (if available).

T.SEARCH

Press to find a specific title, chapter,
or time on a DVD.

MUTE

Press to mute the sound. Press again
to restore the sound.

VOL +/–

Press to increase (+) or decrease (-)
the volume.

38

CH /

Press to go to the next or previous
channel in the TV channel list.
