MAINTENANCE
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Removal
1. Remove the left side panel.
See page 88.
2. Remove the spark plug cap.
3. Use the spark plug wrench
to remove the spark plug.
Turn the plug counter-
clockwise to remove it.
4. Inspect the electrodes for
wear and carbon buildup.
Replace worn or fouled
plugs. Verify that the gap is
at specification before
installation.
5. Reinstall the spark plug.
Torque to specification. See
page 98.
6. Reinstall the spark plug cap.
