CONTROL PARTS AND FUNCTIONS
Left Handlebar Controls
1. Dimmer and passing light
switch is pushed up for the high
beam, middle position is low beam
and bottom position is momentary
passing beam.
2. Turn signal switch is pushed
to the right to signal a right--hand
turn and pushed to the left to signal
a left--hand turn. Once the switch
is released it will return to the cen-
ter position. To cancel the signal,
push the switch in after it has re-
turned to the center position.
NOTE: The turn signals are self
cancelling at speeds above 6 miles
per hour.
3. Horn switch sounds the horn when pressed.
4. Fast idle lever is for cold starting (See page 28 for starting procedure).
5. Set Selector: Odometer, Trip Odometer, Clock, Back Light Dimming, High
Beam Icon Dimming, Fuel Level, Charging System Voltage, Diagnostics, English/
Metric Display. NOTE: These features are used in conjunction with the mode se-
lector. (See page 51 for setting procedure.)
