INITIAL SETUP
Cutting Height Settings
WARNING!
MACHINE ROLLAWAY CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
The gear selector lever must be placed in PARK before leaving the
operator’s seat.
Always park on flat level ground.
Slightly raise the mower and support the mower deck with blocks.
Move the gear selector lever to park.
Stop the engine and exit the BRUTUS. See page 16.

THROWN OBJECTS WILL CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
• Clear mowing area of debris .
• Never operate mower in vicinity of other persons.
• Keep all shields installed. Repair or replace shields if damaged.
• Check blades and mounting hardware. Replace if d amaged. Never
weld or modify.
Inspect all for wear or damage. repair or replace as necessary.
1. Remove the retainer pins (Item 1).
2. Remove the pins (Item 2).
3. Raise the wheel bar (item 3) to lower the mower cutting height.
4. Lower the wheel bar (item 3) to raise the mower cutting height.
5. Install the pins (Item 2).
6. Install the retainer pins (Item 1).
Tip: Both wheel bars (Item 2) and all pins (Item 1) must be positioned
equally for even cutting height from the left to right side and front to
back on the mower.
