Adjusting Belt Tension

WARNING!
MACHINE ROLLAWAY CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
The gear selector lever must be placed in PARK before leaving the

operator’s seat.

Always park on flat level ground.
Put the attachment flat on the ground.
Put the gear selector lever in PARK.

WARNING!
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH

Disengage the PTO, put the Gear Selector Lever in PARK.

Stop the engine and make sure all rotating components are completely

stopped before connecting, disconnecting, adjusting or cleaning any

PTO driven equipment.

Always keep PTO shields and all guards in place when using PTO

driven equipment.

Disengage PTO for road travel.

Keep hands, feet and clothing away.

Make sure the PTO driveline and all rotating components have

come to a complete stop before exiting vehicle.
Exit the vehicle. See page 16.
Remove the bolt (Item 1) and remove the belt guard (Item 2).
Loosen the jam nut (Item 3), tighten the tension nut (Item 4) to the

desired belt tension.
Check the belt tension by pressing forcefully on the belt.
The belt should move between 0.2-0.4 inch (5-10 mm.
Once the desired belt tension is obtained, tighten the jam nut (Item

3).
Install the belt guard (Item 2) and bolt (Item 1).

WARNING!
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Never operate with covers or guards removed.
