4 EPROM
The EPROM is a micro-processor in which the inverter firmware is stored. Exchanging the EPROM for
one with a higher level firmware improves the operational availability and expands the capability of
the inverter through additional functions. Installation updates the firmware version automatically.

NOTICE!
Damage to the inverter through electrostatic discharges.
Internal components of the inverter can be irreparably damaged by static discharge.
• Ground yourself before touching a component.
NOTICE!
Incorrect installation can damage the EPROM.
During installation the EPROM contacts can be damaged.
• Pay attention to the EPROM and socket parallelism during installation.
• The bevels on the corners of the EPROM and socket must be aligned in the same
way.
