Requirements:
• The inverter did not display error messages before disconnection.
• Replacement of the firmware has been agreed with by the SMA Serviceline.
1. Insert the PLCC extraction tool into one of the grooves.
2. Carefully lift the EPROM from the socket.
3. If the EPROM is difficult to remove, insert the PLCC extraction tool into the opposite groove and
continue with point 2.
4. Insert new EPROM. Whilst doing so observe the bevel orientation on the EPROM and socket.
5. Push the EPROM carefully down until it locks into position. Whilst doing so counter-balance the
pressure on the PCB by pushing from underneath.
☑ Upon connection of the inverter the "Flashing EPROM" display message appears.
