Radio Signal (MSF):
The MSF radio time signal supplies the accurate and reliable time for
the United Kingdom. The MSF radio time signal, which is broadcast
from the transmitter in Anthorn, Cumbria (England), is available
24 hours a day and can be received up to 1,500 km from Anthorn.
The signal operates on a frequency of 60 kHz and can be used to
control radio-controlled alarm clocks.
Note:
After the alarm clock has received the MSF signal, the
appropriate time zone is set automatically.
Operation
Receiving the MSF radio time signal
The alarm clock automatically starts to search for the MSF radio
time signal when the batteries
6
are inserted. This process takes
about 12 minutes to complete. As soon as the radio alarm clock has
synchronised, it displays the time from the MSF radio time signal. If
synchronisation is not successful, the display stops at “12:00” until
the radio alarm clock receives a signal again.
