and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.
! Maintain the AK45X.V2 in good condition keeping it clean for the best and safest performance.
! Replace or repair damaged parts. Use recommended parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
! Follow general working environment safety operating procedures at all times.
! Wear appropriate protective clothing.
! Use AK45X.V2 in an appropriate working area for its function. Keep area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials and ensure
there is adequate lighting.
! Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and wear non slip-shoes.
! Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area.
! Dispose of waste grease in accordance with local authority regulations.
" DO NOT allow unauthorised persons to operate the gun.
" DO NOT point gun at yourself or at other persons or animals.
" DO NOT allow uncontrolled discharge of grease.
" DO NOT use the AK45X.V2 for a task it is not designed to perform.
! When not in use store the gun in a safe, dry, childproof area.
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Zinc die-cast pump head with pressed steel pump and carry handle. Suitable for 12.5kg and some 20kg grease buckets. Supplied with
follower plate to prevent cavitation and ensure smooth flow of grease. Suitable for bulk packing bushings and bearings where requirement is
for grease volume and not grease pressure. Includes rigid extensions and 4-jaw coupler.
2. DESCRIPTION
IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS AND
CAUTIONS. USE THIS PRODUCT CORRECTLY AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO
MAY CAUSE DAMAGE, OR PERSONAL INJURY, AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE
USE.
4.1 Prime unit by operating handle slowly until lubricant emerges from end of 4-jaw hydraulic connector (fig.1.6)
(approx. 20-25 operations).
4.2 When fully primed a slight resistance will be felt on the pump down stoke indicating the pump is ready for use
(normal operating pressure is 200bar).
4.3 If priming problems are experienced, initial priming should be done with a heavy grade oil.

3.2. Assembly.
3.2.1 Assemble pump (fig 1.1) through drum cover (2) securing the retention adaptor.
3.2.2 Assemble hose (4) to pump outlet after having removed plastic blank plug.
3.2.3 Take a 12.5kg (or 20kg) container of grease and ensuring there are no large
pockets of air in the grease container, hold the container about 1” from the
ground and allow the container to drop - the effect of which will settle the content.
3.2.4 Remove lid from the container and push follower plate (3) into grease with
the plastic stem uppermost until a small quantity of lubricant appears through
the central aperture.
3.2.5 Install pre-assembled pump unit and drum cover onto grease container and
secure with the 3 drum retaining wing screws.
Caution: The 4-jaw hydraulic connector (6) is an integral part of the angle tube (5) nozzle end. If jaws need replacement care must be take
when unscrewing end as jaws are tensioned with a strong spring.
