Q Safety system
Note: the heating pad is equipped with a safety
system. The electronic sensor technology prevents the
entire surface of the heating pad from overheating
by automatically switching off in the event of a fault.
If the safety system switches the heating pad off
automatically due to a fault, then the function
indicator
2 on the control unit 1 ceases to illu-
minate, even if the heating pad is switched on.
j Please note that, for safety reasons, the heating
pad must not be used after a fault and must be
returned to the service address indicated.
Q Operation
Note: the heating pad may smell of plastic the
first time you use it, but this will disappear after a
short period of time.
j Place the heating pad in position as shown in
Fig. C. Join the two ends of the heating pad
together.
j Integrated magnets 4 ensure that the two
ends of the heating pad remain in contact.
j You can use the snap fasteners 5 if you wish
a closer fit.
Q Switching on / off / Selecting
the temperature
j To begin, first connect the control 1 to the
heating pad with the plug-in connector 3
(see Fig. B).
Switching on:
j Set Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 on the control 1 to
switch the heating pad on.
Note: The function indicator 2 illuminates after
the heating pad is switched on.
Note: this heating pad features rapid heating,
which allows it to heat up within the first 10 minutes
of operation.
Switching off:
j Set Level 0 on the control 1 to switch the
heating pad off.
Note: The function indicator 2 ceases to illuminate.
Selecting the temperature:
j Just before using the heating pad, set it to the
highest temperature setting (setting 6). This will
cause the heating pad to warm up quickly.
j If you are going to use the heating pad for a
number of hours, set it to the lowest temperature
setting (setting 1).
Q Temperature levels
j Set the required temperature level on the
control
1 (see Fig. A).
Level 0: off
Level 1: minimum heat
Level 2-5: customised settings
Level 6: maximum heat
Q Automatic switch-off
Note: The heating pad switches itself off automati-
cally after about 90 minutes. The function indicator
then starts to flash.
j Then select the setting 0 and after about
5 seconds, reset the heating pad to the desired
temperature setting to switch it on again.
j Switch the heating pad off (setting 0) and
pull the mains plug out of the mains socket if
the heating pad is not to be used after it has
switched itself off automatically.
Q Cleaning and care
J WARNING! DANGER TO
LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! Al-
ways remove the mains plug from
the socket and the plug-in connector 3 with
the control 1 from the heating pad (see Fig. B)
before cleaning the heating pad.
