Introduction

The instructions for use are a compo-

nent of this product. They contain im-
portant information pertaining to safety,

use and disposal. Prior to use, familiarise your-
self with all the operating and safety instructions
for this product. Only use the product as described
and for the indicated range of applications. If
passing this product on to a third party also
include all documents.

Intended use

This product is intended for cutting internal and
external threads. It can cut imperial and metric
threads. Do not use the product or part of the
product as an attachment to electrical devices!
The product is intended to be used as a hand
tool only. Other types of use or product modifi-
cations are not regarded as intended and may
lead to risks such as injuries and damages. The
manufacturer is not liable for any damages caused
by any use other than its intended purpose. The
product is not intended for commercial use.

Cutting internal threads

(Figure a)

note: Use cutting oil to reduce the friction
between the workpiece and the tap 3 .

Determine the required thread.

j

Drill a core hole. This must be smaller in
diameter than the required thread (see table
below).

j

Slightly widen the hole at the surface using
a countersink bit (max. 10 % of the thread
diameter at all sides). This will ease the work
of the tap 3 in turning the first threads.

Mount the selected tap 3 in the tap
wrench 4 .

j

Place the mounted tap 3 on the core hole.
Ensure that the tap 3 is absolutely perpen-
dicular.
