children. Children do not appreciate the dangers associated
with the device.
Risk of injury!
Handle the device with care when the scribers have been
inserted into the measuring jaws. Otherwise you could
injure yourself and other people.
Do not damage the spirit levels. If the spirit level is damaged,
avoid coming into any contact with the fluid that is in the
spirit level. Should you come into contact with it, you must
observe the following instructions. First-aid measures with:
- SKIN CONTACT: Immediately clean the affected area
with lots of soap and water for at least 15 minutes. If the
skin continues to be irritated, go to a doctor.
- EYE CONTACT: Immediately rinse the affected eye with
lots of water for at least 15 minutes. Use your thumb and
forefinger to hold the affected eye open. Go to a doctor
immediately.
- INHALATION: Immediately get a lot of fresh air. If there
are respiratory problems, use pure oxygen.
- CONTACT WITH THE ORAL CAVITY (MOUTH):
Immediately rinse the inside of the mouth out with lots of
water if the person affected is conscious. Go to a doctor
immediately.
Examples of use
Note: Loosen the locking screw 11 before opening measuring
jaws 1 and 9 . Tighten the locking screw 11 again after
aligning the measuring jaws.
Measuring angles
Place the measuring jaw 1 onto the respective area.
Open the measuring jaw 9 upwards until the bubble of air
in the vertical spirit level 7 or the horizontal spirit level 8
is precisely in the centre (see fig. A).
Note: The bubble in the spirit level must be located precisely
in the middle of the marks. The arrowhead indicates the
respective angle on the goniometer scale

Place legs 1 and 9 on the surfaces in question. Now
you should be able to read the angle (0 – 270°) between
the two surfaces (see Fig. B).
Measuring areas
Horizontal and vertical surfaces of 0 – 19 ⅝ inch in length
can be measured using legs
1 and 9 (see Fig. C).
Using the marking aids for hanging
First place the device against the object to be hung.
Measure and note down the distance between the hanging
fixings on the object.
Place the device on to the desired supporting surface.
Note: Ensure that the marking aids for hanging 12 point
upwards.
Set the marking aids for hanging 12 to the previously noted
distance apart.
Now mark the desired positions on the supporting surface
using a pencil or similar marker.
Removing the marking aids
To use the horizontal spirit level 8 the marking aids 12
need to be removed.
Mounting the scribers
Open the end caps 4 .
Remove the scribers 6 from the compartment 5 .
Insert one scriber 6 into each opening on the measuring
jaw 1 , 9 .
The goniometer can now be used as a compass.
Cleaning
Do not use corrosive cleaning agents.
Clean the product with a little mild detergent solution and
thoroughly dry it.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials,
which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of
how to dispose of your worn-out product.
