DRILL BIT SHARPENER

Safety notes
• Always disconnect the drill from the power supply
before assembling and adjusting the grinding disc.
• Only for sharpening HSS drill bits (Ø 3.5 – 10 mm).
• Use a drill machine with keyed chuck! Switch off the
impact function, if available!
• Not suitable for permanent operation.
• Avoid unintentionally starting up the device.
• Not suitable for outdoor use.
• Caution! Risk of sparks! Never use the device in areas
susceptible to explosion.
• Wear protective goggles.
• Immediately replace the grinding disc if it is worn out
or damaged.
Initial Start up
Close the key-type drill chuck completely. (Fig. B)
Then follow the fig. A-D to mount the drill bit sharpener on
the drill.
Operation
1. Plug in the drill into a suitable power source. Observe
the specifications on the tape plate of your drill.
2. Switch the drill on and allow it to reach medium speed.
(Max. 800rpm)
3. Feed the drill bit through a suitable hole in the drill
guide 1 until you have touched the grinding stone
(Fig. E). Observe the specifications on the drill guide
1 . Move the drill back and forth with light pressure
until it is sufficiently sharpened (Fig. F).
4. Use a cross-head screwdriver to loosen and remove
the screw from the cap of the sharpener (Fig. G).
5. Remove the drill guide 1 to adjust the height of the

• Desligue sempre a ficha do berbequim da tomada
de corrente antes de montar e ajustar o disco de
esmerilar.
• Apenas para afiar brocas HSS (Ø 3,5 – 10 mm).

função de impacto, se disponível!

Primeira colocação em funcionamento
Feche completamente o mandril tipo chave. (Fig. B)
Em seguida siga as fig. A-D para montar afiador de brocas
no aparelho.
Funcionamento
1. Ligue o berbequim a uma fonte de alimentação
adequada. Observe as especificações indicadas na
placa de fita do seu berbequim.
2. Ligue o berbequim e deixe-o atingir a velocidade
média. (Máx. 800rpm)
3. Introduza a broca através de um orifício adequado
na guia de brocas 1 até tocar no disco de esmerilar
(Fig. E). Observe as especificações da guia de brocas
1 . Mova a broca para trás e para a frente com uma
leve pressão até que esteja suficientemente afiada
(Fig. F).

6. An old drill bit can be used as a trial to familiarize
yourself with the use of the drill bit sharpener.
Replacing the grinding disc
1. Use a cross-head screwdriver to loosen and remove
the screw from the cap of the sharpener (Fig. I).
2. Remove the drill guide 1 , the setting screw 2 and
take out the grinding disc set (Fig. J).
3. Loose the threaded connection and remove the old
grinding disc (Fig. K).
4. Replace the old grinding disc with a new one and re-
assemble the threaded connection (Fig. L).
5. Repeat the steps described above in reverse
sequences to finish replacement.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable
materials, which you may dispose of at local
recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details
of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
4. Use uma chave de fenda cruzada para soltar e
remover o parafuso da tampa do afiador (Fig. G).
5. Remova a guia de brocas 1 para ajustar a altura do
disco de esmerilar. Em seguida rode o parafuso de
ajuste 2 para ajustar a posição do disco de esmerilar
(Fig. H).
6. Pode usar uma broca antiga como teste para se
familiarizar com a utilização do afiador de brocas.
Substituir o disco de esmerilar
1. Use uma chave de fenda cruzada para soltar e
remover o parafuso da tampa do afiador (Fig. I).
2. Remova a guia de brocas 1 , o parafuso de ajuste 2
e retire o conjunto do disco de esmerilar (Fig. J).
3. Afrouxe a união de rosca e retire o disco de esmerilar
velho (Fig. K).
4. Substitua o disco de esmerilar velho por um novo e
volte a montar a união roscada (Fig. L).
5. Repita as etapas descritas acima na sequência
inversa para finalizar a substituição.
Eliminação
A embalagem é composta por materiais
recicláveis, que pode eliminar nos pontos de
reciclagem locais.

Sicherheitshinweise
• Trennen Sie die Bohrmaschine vor der Montage und
Einstellung der Schleifscheibe immer von der
Stromversorgung.
• Nur zum Schärfen von HSS Bohrern (Ø 3,5 – 10 mm).
• Verwenden Sie eine Bohrmaschine mit
Zahnkranzbohrfutter. Schalten Sie ggf. die
Schlagfunktion ab.
• Nicht für den Dauerbetrieb geeignet.
• Vermeiden Sie unbeabsichtigten Anlauf.
• Nicht für den Außengebrauch geeignet.
• Achtung Funkenschlag! Verwenden Sie das Gerät
niemals in explosionsgefährdeter Umgebung.
• Tragen Sie Schutzbrille.
• Ersetzen Sie beschädigte und verschleißte
Schleifscheiben sofort aus.
Inbetriebnahme
Zahnkranzbohrfutter komplett schließen. (siehe Abb. B)
Folgen Sie anschließend den Abbildungen A-D, um das
Bohrerschärfgerät auf die Bohrmaschine zu montieren.
Betrieb
1. Schließen Sie die Bohrmaschine an eine geeignete
Stromquelle an. Beachten Sie die Angaben auf dem
Typenschild Ihrer Bohrmaschine.
2. Schalten Sie die Bohrmaschine ein und lassen Sie sie
auf mittlerer Geschwindigkeit laufen. (Max. 800 U/min)
3. Führen Sie den Bohrer durch ein geeignetes Loch
in der Bohrführung 1 ein, bis Sie den Schleifstein
berühren (Abb. E). Beachten Sie hierzu die Angaben
auf der Bohrführung 1 . Bewegen Sie den Bohrer
mit leichtem Druck hin und her, bis er ausreichend
geschärft ist (Abb. F).
4. Verwenden Sie einen Kreuzschraubendreher, um die
Schrauben am Schärfgerät zu entfernen (Abb. G).
5. Entfernen Sie die Bohrführung 1 , um die Höhe der
Schleifscheibe einzustellen. Drehen Sie anschließend
die Einstellschraube 2 , um die Position der
Schleifscheibe zu justieren (Abb. H).
6. Verwenden Sie einen alten Bohrer, um sich mit der
Funktion des Schärfgeräts vertraut zu machen.
Schleifscheibe austauschen
1. Verwenden Sie einen Kreuzschraubendreher, um die
Schrauben am Schärfgerät zu entfernen (Abb. I).
2. Entfernen Sie die Bohrführung 1 , die
Einstellschraube 2 und entnehmen Sie das
Schleifscheiben-Set (Abb. J).
3. Lösen Sie die Verschraubung und entfernen Sie die
alte Schleifscheibe (Abb. K).
4. Ersetzen Sie die alte Schleifscheibe durch eine neue und
montieren Sie die Verschraubung wieder an (Abb. L).
5. Wiederholen Sie die oben beschriebenen Schritte
in umgekehrter Reihenfolge um den Austausch
abzuschließen.
Entsorgung

Recyclingstellen entsorgen können.
