4.2.1 Optional Features—Liebert XDV
• Refrigerant Pre-Charge—Liebert XDV units with the pre-charged refrigerant option will have
one-shot style fittings or removable couplings that contain pressurized refrigerant inside the Lie-
bert XDV. The fittings ease connection to Liebert XD Piping and filling with refrigerant.
• External Mounting Brackets—The Liebert XDV can be suspended from the overhead building
structure. The external mounting brackets are ship-loose items.
• Field-Installed Flexible Piping (for use with prefabricated piping assemblies)—Field-installed
flexible piping kits are available in lengths of 4, 6, 8 and 10 feet (1.2, 1.8, 2.4 and 3 meters). Con-
nection style to the unit end may be straight or 90 degrees. Connection to the prefabricated piping
assembly is with a threaded coupler. For information on acquiring the correct kit for your instal-
lation, refer to DPN000781_Rev1, available from Liebert by calling 1-800-LIEBERT and from
your local Emerson Network Power representative.
• Condensate Detection—The Liebert XDV unit is available with factory-installed condensate
detection. The condensate detection has connection points (dry contacts) at the external rear of
the unit.
