Follow the steps in these sections to keep the R2880 working at its best:

Checking and Cleaning the Print Head
You can check and clean the print head nozzles automatically using the Auto
Nozzle Check and Cleaning utility in your printer software. It prints a check
pattern that your printer then reads to see if you have any clogged nozzles, which it
then cleans, if necessary.
1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder (see page 6).
2. Do one of the following:
Windows: Right-click the icon in
the bottom right corner of your screen
(the taskbar) and select
Auto Head
Cleaning .
Mac OS X: Open the Applications
folder, open the EPSON Printer
Utility3 , select SP R2880 , and click
OK . Then select Auto Nozzle Check
and Cleaning .
