By lightening the shadows and darkening the
highlights (raising the left side of the curve and
lowering the right) you can balance the tones in the
image.
Follow these steps to adjust an image using tone
curves:
1. Preview the image.
2. Click the Tone Curve icon
on the EPSON
Perfection 600 main window. The Tone Correction
dialog box appears.
3. Select the color to adjust.
There are three
color channels
that make up the full
spectrum of color: red, green, and blue.
If there’s too much of a particular color in an image,
select that color from the Channel drop-down list.
Otherwise, leave the Channel set to Master (all).
4. Change the curve by clicking the curve, then
dragging it to a new position.
