Introduction
This software technical reference (STR) provides information about and troubleshooting tips for the
printing-system software for the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer.
This document is prepared in an electronic format to serve as a quick-reference tool for Customer
Contact Center (CCC) agents, support engineers, system administrators, management information
systems (MIS) personnel, and end users, as appropriate.
NOTE This STR describes drivers that are shipped on the printing-system software CD that
comes with the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer. This STR does not cover drivers that will become
available on the Web.
The following information is included in this technical reference:
● Overview of drivers and platforms
● Procedures for installing and uninstalling software components
● Descriptions of problems that can arise while using the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer and known
solutions to those problems
NOTE An addendum to this STR describes system modification information, including file lists
and changes to registry keys.
