118 Enabling DHCP on the HP N1200-320 4Gb Network Storage Router

Setting up DHCP over network storage router interfaces

Network storage routers use three different interfaces which can be used to enable DHCP: Serial, Telnet,

and VM. The following will describe how to enable and disable DHCP for each interface.

NOTE:

Located on the network storage router is a label that displays the unit’s Ethernet MAC Address. A

network administrator can then use this MAC Address to set up a lease reservation on the DHCP server for

the IP address of the network storage router. This effectively allows the network storage router to have a

permanent IP address that is assigned by the DHCP server.
