Removal and Replacement Procedures— Small Form Factor (SFF) Chassis
7.12 Front I/O Device
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly ( Section 7.1 ).
2. Remove the access panel ( Section 7.3 ).
3. Remove the fan shroud ( Section 7.11 ).
4. Remove the optical drive ( Section 7.7.2 ).
5. Rotate the optical drive retainer to its upright position to access the memory module sockets.
6. Remove the two screws that secure the front I/O device to the chassis 1.
7. Push the front I/O device into the chassis 2 and disconnect the cables from the system board.
To reinstall the front I/O device, reverse the removal procedure.
