4. Click the Find Printers button to automatically search the net-
work for a printer as well as to register it.
When registering a printer manually, enter the appropriate infor-
mation for the following field descriptions and click the
Add but-
ton.
Field Descriptions
IP Address:
Type in the IP address of the printer you want to add.
Name:
Type in the name you want to assign to the printer. Assign a name
you feel best identifies the printer.
Port Number:
Type in the port number of the printer. The default port number set-
ting is 10001.
Description:
Type in text that describes the printer.
5. Click OK after you have finished adding all the printers you want.
Setp2: Installing the Printer Driver and Setting the Printer Port
1. Using the install program, install the printer driver that comes with
the printer.
Refer to the manual that came with the printer for details.
2. Open the Properties menu item of the printer icon.
3. Select the Detail tab.
4. Select the port that you want from the Print to the following port
item.
