PROBLEM THINGS TO CHECK SOLUTION
No power. Is power cord connected? Connect power cord to AC
outlet.
Timer recording is not
possible. Is the program timer set
correctly? Set the program timer
correctly.
Is the POWER switch set to
OFF? Set the POWER switch to
OFF.
Is the record safety tab
missing? Place cellophone tape over
missing safety tab?
REC mode cannot be
engaged. Is the record safety tab
missing? Place cellophone tape over
missing safety tab.
Picture is poor on playback. Is the TV channel selector on
the proper channel? On playback, the TV channel
selector should be on channel
3 or 4
Is the TV fine tuning set
correctly? Fine tune your TV.
No picture on playback. Is the TV set to the proper
channel? Set the correct channel, CH3
or 4 (for your video channel.)
Playback picture is partially
noisy. Is the TRACKING adjusted
correctly? Press either TRACKING
control button ( or ) for
best picture.
TV program cannot be
recorded or cannot be seen. Is connection correct? Connect correctly.
TV cannot be operated. --- First press the TV button and
then press the button, which
corresponds to the TV function
you want.
The indication of the VCR’s
display appears abnormal or
no button can be engaged. Push the reset switch using a
toothpick, etc. The display will
be reset. Then set the
information again.
