BRAKE PEDAL

The brake pedal is the large pedal on the left with the word STOP molded into it (Figure 6). To slow or stop the
vehicle, press the brake pedal (Figure 7).

PARK BRAKE

The park brake handle is located between the driver and passenger seats. To engage the park brake, first apply
pressure to the brake pedal, then pull up on the park brake handle until handle latches into place. To disengage, pull
up on the handle and press the button on the end of the handle. Push handle down. See following WARNING.

WARNING

• The park brake has multiple locking positions and should be firmly locked to prevent vehicle from

rolling.

LOCKOUT CAM

The key-start vehicle is equipped with a lockout cam that allows the engine to be started only when the
Forward/Reverse handle is in the NEUTRAL position. The lockout cam (yellow) is located on the back of the
Foward/Reverse handle inside the engine compartment (Figure 8).

NOTE: Be sure the cam is in the correct position. The cam should activate the limit switch only when the

Forward/Reverse handle is in the NEUTRAL position.

CHOKE

The choke is located on the seat support panel below and to the left of the driver’s left knee. If the vehicle is hard
to start in cool or cold temperatures, activate choke: Pull the choke handle out to activate. Release the handle
when the engine begins to run smoothly (Figure 9).
