BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:

ELECTRIC SHOCK:
• ALWAYS unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately
after using and before cleaning.
• DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it
immediately.
• DO NOT place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into
a tub or sink. DO NOT place in or drop into water or
other liquid.
• House wiring must comply with all local electrical codes. Improper
electrical connection can result in a risk of electrical shock.
• The outside of the appliance must be dry before applying
electrical power.
• Only use the product in a 3 pronged outlet.
WARNING
- TO REDUCE THE RISK OF BURNS,
ELECTRIC SHOCK, FIRE OR INJURY TO PERSONS:
• An appliance should NEVER be left unattended when plugged
in. Unplug from outlet when not in use or before cleaning or filter
replacement.
• ALWAYS operate indoors.
• The appliance blocks all harmful Ultraviolet (UV) light when
operated according to instructions.

• The reservoir, lid and spout lid must be fully seated during
operation.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in
this manual. DO NOT use attachments not recommended
by HoMedics. Specifically any attachments not provided with
the unit.
• DO NOT carry this appliance by the power cord or use the
cord as a handle.
• NEVER operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or
plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or
damaged, or dropped into water. Return it to HoMedics
Service Center for examination and repair.
• Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• DO NOT activate the UV lamp without lid in place (spout
lid must be in closed position), which prevents exposure to
harmful UV light.
• NEVER place appliance on a soft surface, such as a bed or
couch.
• NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.
• DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are being
used or where oxygen is being administered.
• To disconnect adaptor, remove plug from AC outlet.To
disconnect pitcher, remove power cable from socket on
reservoir.
