5. use the fine ruler to measure the distance

between the straightedge and miter slot at the
front and back of the table (see

figure 39).

— if the distances are the same, no further

adjustments are required.

— if the distances are different, continue with

step 6.

6. loosen the six flange bolts that secure

the table to the trunnion brackets (see

figure 40).

7. position the table so that the distances are

equal between the straightedge and miter
slot at the front and the back of the table.

8. taking care not to move the table further, re-

tighten the flange bolts.

9. verify the setting and, if necessary, repeat

this procedure until you are satisfied with the
adjustment.

aligning fence

to ensure accurate cutting when using the fence,
the face of the fence must be parallel to the table
miter slot and, thus, to the side of the blade.

to align the fence parallel with the miter slot:

1. Make sure the miter slot is parallel with the

blade, as instructed in the previous

aligning

table procedure.

3. install the fence on the right side of the blade,

even with the edge of the miter slot, then lock
it in place.

— if the fence is parallel with the miter slot, no

additional adjustment is necessary.

— if the fence is not parallel with the miter

slot, proceed to

step 4.

4. loosen the four fence adjustment cap screws

shown in

figure 41, adjust the fence paral-

lel to the miter slot, then re-tighten the cap
screws to secure the setting.
