6. tighten the assembly lock bolt.

7. loosen the thumbscrew on the support bear-

ing adjustment shaft.

8. place a 0.016" feeler gauge between the

support bearing and the blade, and use the
upper knurled knob to position the bearing
0.016" away from the back of the blade, as
illustrated in

figure 31.

4. loosen the assembly lock bolt.

5. rotate the blade guide assembly side-to-

side, until the blade is perpendicular to the
face of the support bearing as illustrated in

figure 30.

Note: For a quick gauge, fold a dollar bill in half
twice (four thicknesses of a dollar bill is approxi-
mately 0.016") and place it between the support
bearing and the blade as shown in

Figure 32.

9. tighten the thumbscrew to keep the support

bearing locked in place.

10. repeat Steps 49 for the lower support bear-

ings.

NOTICE

Whenever changing a blade or adjusting ten-

sion and tracking, the upper and lower blade

support bearings and blade guide bearings

must be properly adjusted before cutting

operations.
