Matrox M.Key/100 system requirements

Matrox M.Key/100 requires a computer with the following minimum system
configuration:

• A computer that supports SIMD Extensions 2 (SSE2), such as an Intel

Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 or later.

• Windows XP Professional operating system with Service Pack 2.

• Free USB port.

• A CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive to install the M.Key/100 software.

Connecting Matrox M.Key/100 to
your computer

You can plug Matrox M.Key/100 directly into your computer’s USB port, or use
the provided USB extension cable. With the wide variety of USB port designs on
desktop and notebook computers, you may find that the extension cable provides
greater convenience and flexibility for connecting M.Key/100 to your USB port.

Hardware detection

The first time you connect Matrox M.Key/100 to your computer’s USB port (and
your computer is on), the Windows “Found New Hardware Wizard” will detect
your M.Key/100 hardware. Because the Matrox M.Key/100 Setup program will
automatically install the appropriate drivers for your M.Key/100, you must press

ESC

or click

Cancel

to close the “Found New Hardware Wizard” and then install

the Matrox M.Key/100 software as explained in the next section.
