Types 8307, 8308, 8310, 8311, 8314, and 8315
To remove the hard disk drive, do the following:
1. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all external cables
and power cords; then, remove the cover. See “Types 8307, 8308, 8310, 8311,
8314, and 8315” on page 41.
2. Disconnect all hard disk drive wires.
3. Remove the screws securing the hard disk drive.
4. Remove the hard disk drive.
Note: When replacing the hard disk drive, make sure you obtain the proper
Recovery CD to install after you install the new hard drive.
Power supply removal
Types 8301 and 8302
To remove the power supply, do the following:
1. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all external cables
and power cords; then, remove the cover. See “Removing the cover Types 8301
and 8302” on page 71.
2. Remove the black plastic spacer from the front left corner of the box.
3. Remove the power supply cables from the white plastic holder.
4. Remove the screw holding the power source from the front of the machine.
