16:9 Compatibility
You can select the aspect ratio of your TV.
get to the main menu Press MENU. Select the icon 16:9/4:3 using the * and T buttons and
press OK.
select mode
Press ^& to select the appropriate mode and press * or T.
AUTO: Normally select this. You can play back the 16:9 and 4:3 screen-programme as they are.
16:9:
You can play back the programme with the 16:9 screen format.
4:3: You can play back the programme with the 4:3 screen format.
NOTE:
Set your TV to its AV mode if the picture is cut off on the TV screen when you play back the
programme with the 16:9 screen format.
return to normal screen Press MENU.
Child Lock
You can disable the VCR’s operations. While the VCR is turned on, press on the Remote
Control.
SAFE appears on the TV screen.
To release the child lock, press until the power indicator blinks on the display panel.
If any buttons on the VCR are pressed while the child lock function is activated, SAFE appears on
the TV screen and the power indicator blinks on the display panel.
notes:
• When the child lock function is in use, the VCR’s operations are possible only with the
Remote Control. Keep the Remote Control out of the children’s reach.
• Timer recording programmes will be performed even if the child lock function is activated.
