Listening to an MP3 file

Press (OPEN) and insert the disc.

Close the front panel.
Playback starts automatically.

If a disc is already inserted, press (SOURCE)
repeatedly until “MP3” appears to start
playback.

When the last file on the disc is
over

The file number indication returns to “1,” and
playback restarts from the first file of the disc.

Notes
• If a disc with no MP3 files is inserted, “CD”

appears in the Disk type display to start playback
but there will be no sound.

• Before playing a file, this unit reads all file and

folder information on the disc. Depending on
the file structure, it may take more than a
minute before play begins. During this time,
“READING” is displayed. Please wait for play to
start automatically when the reading is
complete.

• Folder names and file names can be displayed

with up to 8 characters.

• The characters A - Z, 0 - 9, some symbols (“_ ,”

“–,” “/,” “<,” “>,” “*,” “ \ ,” and “+”) and space
can be displayed on this unit. All other characters
are displayed as “
*.”

• Except while formatting ISO 9660 level 1, folder

names or file names may not be displayed
correctly.

• The file name does not correspond to the ID tag.
