and JAR

§

Three file types occur when using

Java™:
The JAD file (Java Descriptor)
These files contain information on

the application (JAR file) and their

address for downloading. By activat-

ing a JAD file, the connection to the

Internet is established and the exe-

cutable application is loaded.
The JAR file (Java archive)
This file includes the executable ap-

plication. By activating a JAR file, the

application is started.
Combined files
These files result from JAR files being

loaded via JAD files. In this case the

JAD file is inserted into the JAR file.

The display icon is the same as for

JAR files.

Java

Java™ allows you to use numerous

games and applications on your mo-

bile phone. You can download these

applications from the Internet and

install them on your mobile phone.

The application can be started after

installation. Please refer to the

operating instructions for each

application.
Siemens does not guarantee that

the downloaded and installed Java

applications will work well with your

mobile phone (page 74).

T

Message memory full

network your phone will automati-

cally connects to a different GSM

network (page 106).
