There is no sound.

• Turn VOLUME +/– clockwise (or press

VOLUME + repeatedly on the remote).

• Check the CROSS FADER slider

position (page 31).

• Check the speaker connections

(page 13).

• There is no audio output during

Recording Timer.

There is no microphone sound.

• Turn VOLUME +/– clockwise (or press

VOLUME + repeatedly on the remote)
or turn MIC LEVEL clockwise to adjust
the microphone volume.

• Make sure the microphone is connected

to the MIC jack correctly.

There is severe hum or noise.

• A TV or VCR is placed too close to the

unit. Move the unit away from the TV or
VCR.

• Move the unit away from the source of

noise.

• Connect the unit to a different wall

outlet.

• Install a noise filter (commercially

available) to the power cord.

• Turn off surrounding electrical

equipment.

The timer does not function.

• Check the timer setting and set the

correct time (page 38).

• Cancel the Sleep Timer function

(page 38).

• You cannot select the Play Timer and

the Recording Timer at the same time.

• Check the CROSS FADER slider

position (page 31).

The remote does not function.

• Remove the obstacles between the

remote and the unit.

• Move the remote closer to the unit.
• Point the remote at the unit’s sensor.
• Replace the batteries (R6/size AA).
• Move the unit away from the

fluorescent light.

There is no sound output from the
headphone.

• Turn i LEVEL clockwise to adjust the

headphone volume.

• Check the headphone connection.
• Check that the audio source on the

selected channel is played back.

There is beat sound even though you
have not played back any source.

• Press BEAT ON/OFF to turn off beat

pattern.

There is acoustic feedback.

• Reduce the volume.
• Move the microphone away from the

speakers or change the direction of the
microphone.

Speakers

Sound comes from one channel or
unbalanced left and right volume.

• Place the speakers as symmetrically as

possible.

• Check that the speaker are connected

securely and correctly.

• The source being played back is

monaural.

There is no sound from the
subwoofer.

• Adjust the subwoofer level to the

appropriate level.

• Check that the subwoofer is connected

securely and correctly.

• Check that the SYSTEM CONTROL

jack on the unit is connected.

• Check that the power cord on the

subwoofer is connected and the power is
turned on.

Sound lacks bass.

• Check that the speaker’s + and –

terminals are connected correctly.
