Reading Your Messages
Occasionally, your program providers will send messages to your DSS
receiver. These messages contain useful information about your
system, such as information about new services, program promotions,
or billing.
How to Determine When
You’ve Received Mail There are several ways to tell if you have unread mail:
Y The DSS receiver’s front panel MESSAGE/TIMER indicator blinks.
Note
If the timer is set and you have an unread message, the indicator will stay lit.
Y An envelope (
) appears in the Program Banner, accessed by
pressing the DISPLAY button.
Y An envelope (
) appears in menu item 9 (System Menu) of the
Main Menu.
Displaying Your Messages To display your messages:

Press the MENU button to bring up the Main Menu.

Select SYSTEM MENU.

Select MESSAGES.
The message’s date, along with the first few words of the message,
appear.
