1. Press the SMART AUTO button.

) indicator is displayed. (When you activate the SMART
AUTO mode, the Anti-shake (

) indicator also appears.)
2. Adjust the subject on the LCD screen.
• The camcorder automatically detects a scene (Landscape,
Sunset, etc.) and adjusts the camcorder settings accordingly.
• The appropriate scene icon appears on the LCD screen.

To record photos, press the PHOTO button.
4. To cancel SMART AUTO mode, press the SMART AUTO button
again.
RECORDING WITH EASE FOR BEGINNERS (SMART AUTO MODE)
When you use the SMART AUTO function, the camera detects the kind of scene you want to record, and
then adjusts most of its settings automatically. This function frees you from making detailed adjustments.
