Hints

• If you add numbers (01, 02, 03, etc.) to the front of the

file names, the files will be played in that order.

• Since a disc with many trees takes longer to start

playback, it is recommended that you create albums
with no more than two trees.

Notes

• Some DATA CDs or DATA DVDs cannot be played

on this recorder depending on file format.

• Only one session of a multi-session DATA DVD can

be played back.

• Only alphabet and numbers can be used for album or

file names. Anything else is displayed as an asterisk.

• The recorder can play DivX video files with the

extension “.AVI” or “.DIVX.” The recorder will not
play files that do not contain a DivX video, even if they
have the extension “.AVI” or “.DIVX.”

• The recorder may not play a DivX video file when the

file has been combined from two or more DivX video
files.

• The recorder cannot play a DivX video file of size more

than 720 (width)

× 576 (height)/2 GB.

• Depending on the disc, normal playback may not be

possible. For example, the picture may be unclear,
playback may not appear smooth, the sound may skip,
and so on.

• Playback of DivX video files that are longer than ten

hours is not guaranteed.

• The recorder may not be able to play some DATA CDs/

DATA DVDs created in the Packet Write format.

• Depending on the disc, playback may take some time

to start.

• Depending on the DivX video file, the picture may

pause or be unclear. In which case, it is recommended
that you create the file at a lower bit rate. If the sound
is still noisy, MP3 is the recommended audio format.
Note, however, this recorder does not conform to
WMA (Windows Media Audio) format.

• Depending on the DivX video file, the sound may not

match the pictures on the screen.

• The recorder recognize up to 1499 files within a disc.

Note that the playback order may not be applicable,
depending on the software used for creating the DivX
video file, or if there are more than 500 albums and 499
DivX video files in each album.
