Select the most preferred language. Some digital channels
may broadcast several audio languages for a programme.

Secondary
Preferred
Language

Select the secondary preferred language.

Audio
Description

Provides audio description (narration) of visual information,
when such information is available.

Mixing Level

Adjusts the TV main audio and “Audio Description” output
levels.

Dynamic Range

Compensates for differences in the audio level between
different channels (only for Dolby Digital audio).

• The effect may not function or may vary depending on the

programme regardless of the “Dynamic Range” setting.

MPEG Audio
Level

Adjusts the MPEG audio sound level.

Digital Auto Tuning

Automatically tunes in all available digital channels and stores their settings in the
TV. You can run “Digital Auto Tuning” after moving to a new residence, changing
service providers, or to search for newly launched channels.

Auto Tuning Range

Select the tuning range to search for available channels.

Normal

Searches within your region/country.

Full

Searches regardless of region/country.

Digital Programme
Sorting

Removes unwanted channels, or changes the order of digital channels stored in the
TV.

Digital Manual Tuning Tunes digital channels manually when “Digital Auto Tuning” is set to “Antenna”.

Digital Auto Service
Update

Detects and stores new digital services as they become available.

Service Replacement Automatically changes the channel when a broadcaster changes transmission of the

viewing programme to a different channel.

CA Module Set-up

Provides access to a pay TV service after you obtain a Conditional Access Module
(CAM) and a view card. See the location of the

(PCMCIA) jack (socket) (page

22).

External Inputs

AV Preset

Assigns an icon or name to external equipment. Select “Auto” to display icons or
names only when the equipment is connected, or “Always” to display regardless of
connection status.

• For a SCART connection and PlayStation

2 mode, skip cannot be set.

• For a PC connection, icon and label cannot be set.
