Selects a scene for the thumbnail picture
shown in the Title List.

Notes

• The actual chapter mark interval may vary

depending on the amount of information
contained in the video to be recorded.

• Chapter marks are automatically inserted, where

the date or time information changes on the tape,
when “Auto Chapter (HDD/VR)” is set to “On”
during DV dubbing to the HDD or a DVD-RW/
DVD-R (VR mode).

HDD Recording Format

Selects the HDD recording format.

The HDD contents recorded in Video mode can be
dubbed to a disc at high speed (page 78).

Turns off the function.

The frame at 30 seconds

The frame at 3 minutes from
the first frame is set for the
thumbnail picture.

The recorder detects
changes in the picture and
sound and automatically
inserts chapter marks (up to
99 chapters for one title
recorded on the HDD).

No chapter mark is inserted.

Set “Bilingual Recording”
to “A/L” (default) or “B/R”
in the “Audio In” setup
(page 115).
