Press X on the remote.

Recording pauses at the end of the side
where recording starts. “P” appears and the
total playing time display changes to
“0m00s”.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 to select the tracks
to be recorded on the reverse side.

Recording on a tape

Insert a blank tape.

Press SYNCHRO REC repeatedly until
“CD-TAPE SYNC ?” appears.

Press ENTER/START.

The tape deck stands by for recording and
the CD player pauses for play.

Press TAPE H

to record starting from

the top side or h from the bottom
side.

Press DIRECTION repeatedly until g
appears to record on one side or h (or
j

) to record on both sides.

If you select both sides recording and the
tape reaches the end of the top side part-way
through a track, the entire track is recorded
again from the beginning of the bottom side.
When you start recording from the bottom
side, the recording stops at the end of the
bottom side even though you select h.

Press ENTER/START.

CD playing and tape recording start. The CD
player and the tape deck stop automatically
when the recording is completed.

If the tape becomes full during

The CD player and the tape deck stop
automatically.

To record on an MD at the same
time

Insert a recordable MD and select “DUAL
SYNC ?” in step 9 of “Recording on a tape” on
this page.

Tip

When you want to reduce the hiss noise in low-level,
high-frequency signals, press DOLBY NR after step
10 so “DOLBY NR” appears in the display.

Note

If “Cannot SYNC!” appears, a disc or a tape is not
loaded or you cannot record on that tape (see page
73).
