To erase a character

To add characters

To enter a space

Press the VOLUME+ button to move the cursor to the
right.

Characters (symbols)

Notes:

z

One disc name and up to 99 group names and 255
track names can be created per disc. (A maximum of
40 characters for each disc, group and track name,
and a total of 1,700 characters can be entered per
disc.)

z

You cannot use "/" in a name successively.

z

The MD that has been group recorded with this unit
should not be named using other equipment. The disc
may not be played properly.

z

If the number of characters entered as a disc, group or
track name exceeds 40, "N-FULL" will be displayed.

z

When a disc, group, or track name that contains 40
characters is changed, "NAME CUT" will be displayed,
In this case, delete all the characters and reenter the
names.

z

If you enter "LP:" at the beginning of a name, "LP:"
may not be displayed.

Set the unit to character input mode.

Disc name : page 40, steps 1 - 3

Group name : page 41, steps 1 - 4

Track name : page 41, steps 1 - 3

Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME- button to move
the cursor to the character you want to erase, and
then press the REC button.

Hold down the M button for 1 second or more.

Group name : page 41, steps 1 - 4

Track name : page 41, steps 1 - 3

Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME- button to move
the cursor to the character on the right of the position
where you want to add a character, and enter a char-
acter.

Hold down the M button for 1 second or more.
